The Association

A non-profit institution, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture of Peru, whose mission is to disseminate the culture and folklore related to the Peruvian Paso Horse, promoting its recognition as a "Cultural Heritage of the Nation."

Highlighting the Peruvian Paso Horse

The Peruvian Paso Horse is an emblematic symbol of Peruvian culture. Recognized for its elegance and distinctive gait, it is an icon that has attracted the attention and admiration of people around the world. Our institution, established under Ministerial Resolution No. 000305 of 2020, is dedicated to promoting this equine breed and its connection to the identity of Peru and the world.

Cultural Heritage of the Nation

One of our greatest achievements is obtaining the declaration of the Peruvian Paso Horse as "Cultural Heritage of the Nation for the Values, Knowledge, and Practices of the Chalán for the Breeding of the Peruvian Paso Horse" (Vice-Ministerial Resolution No. 000081-2021-VMPCIC/MC). This distinction, granted by the Ministry of Culture, highlights the importance of the chalán as an essential part of Peru's cultural heritage. We work tirelessly to safeguard and promote this status, ensuring that future generations continue to appreciate and respect the cultural heritage represented by the Peruvian Paso Horse.

Highlighting the Peruvian Chalán

We have been commissioned by the Andean Parliament to recognize the "Chalán Peruano" as a symbol of the Andean Region's Cultural Heritage through Resolution No. 14. This recognition highlights the contribution of the Chalán Peruano to the cultural wealth of the entire Andean region. We work hard to promote and preserve the skills, knowledge, and practices related to the breeding and handling of these horses, consolidating their role as custodians of this valuable cultural legacy.

Diffusion and Education

Disseminating the culture and folklore of the Peruvian Paso Horse is fundamental to us. We organize events, exhibitions, festivals, and educational activities that highlight the importance of this horse breed and its connection to Peruvian identity. We also promote community participation in preserving these traditions through training and outreach programs.
