Our Essence

Since its founding, the company has worked tirelessly to defend and promote the Peruvian Paso Horse as an expression of Peruvian culture, not only as an equine breed, but as a fundamental element of the country's art, dance and history.

As part of our work, we have achieved important recognitions that reaffirm the cultural importance of this tradition:

📌 In 2013, we promoted the institutionalization of the Peruvian Paso Horse Day, declared by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and celebrated every third Sunday in April.

📌 In 2021, we achieved that the Ministry of Culture declared the values and knowledge of Chalán in the breeding of the Peruvian Paso Horse as Cultural Heritage of the Nation (Resolution No. 000081-2021-VMPCIC/MC).

📌 In 2022, we are promoting the recognition of the Peruvian Chalán as a reference for the Cultural Heritage of the Andean Region, granted by the Andean Parliament.

📌 In 2025, we achieved that the Peruvian Paso Horse is also recognized as a reference of the Cultural Heritage of the Andean Region and that the OMTE declares Peru an Equestrian Tourist Destination 2025, highlighting its wealth of routes, traditions and equestrian landscapes.

International Projection and Equestrian Tourism

As part of its global expansion, the Asociación Cultural del Caballo Peruano de Paso (ACCPP) is a member of the World Equestrian Tourism Organization (OMTE), promoting the Peruvian Paso Horse within international equestrian tourism circuits. Through this alliance, the aim is to position the horse as a cultural icon that transcends borders, integrating it into exhibitions, horseback riding and tourist experiences that allow more people to learn about its history and legacy.

Through these initiatives, the ACCPP reinforces the recognition of the Peruvian Paso Horse as a living cultural heritage, connecting different generations and cultures around a tradition that represents the identity and elegance of Peru in the world.
